Troy Strahan as Abraham Lincoln.
|
From an early age, Troy Strahan had an interest in the 16th president. After learning that Abraham Lincoln was the tallest chief executive, this lanky grade schooler’s interest grew to complete fascination.
From his hometown of Salina, KS, Troy cultivated a love of all things Lincoln: reading books and researching every aspect of his life. In 1976, at age ten, he delivered the Gettysburg address for the first time in his home-made top hat. After participating in theater, vocal music and public speaking during high school and college; opportunities to portray his favorite president naturally followed.
Since moving to the Kansas City area, Mr. Strahan has portrayed Mr. Lincoln to a wide variety of business and school groups-presenting a myriad of historical reenactments including speeches, scenes and events from Abraham Lincoln’s life.
Some credits include: winner of Lincoln look-alike contest and presenter at the Lincoln, KS “Lincoln Days”, member of the “Lecompton Reenactors”, and numerous appearances at many Kansas historical sites.
