Bill Quatman Bio
G. William Quatman is Sr. Vice President & General Counsel for Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City. Bill serves on the national Board of Directors of DBIA and currently serves as Vice Chair. He is past Chair of the Legislation and Legal Committee, and of the DBIA Documents Task Force. Bill has spoken at multiple AIA, DBIA, AGC and ASCE National Conventions and Conferences, as well as dozens of national and regional programs. He is the author of a leading book on design-build for design professionals, as well as the editor of AIA’s book, The Architect’s Guide to Design-Build Services. In addition to being a lawyer, Bill is the first architect ever to become both a Fellow of the AIA (FAIA) and a Designated Design-Build Professional (DBIA) of the Design-Build Institute of America. Mr. Quatman is licensed attorney and architect, and has been named one of The Best Lawyers in America. Earlier this year, Bill published a civil war biography titled A Young General and the Fall of Richmond,(Ohio Univ. Press 2015), that profiles the 29-year old Union general who captured Richmond. He lives in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, is married with three children and two grandsons.
Bill is a member of the Civil War Round Table of Kansas City.
