Alisha Cole Biography

Alisha Moore Cole will be presenting the “Heroes in Petticoats” program at the May meeting of the Civil War Roundtable of Kansas City She is a Social Historian and Independent Museum Professional specializing in living history interpretation, exhibit design and installation, and research. Ms. Cole has worked with private, municipal, state and federal run museums and programs in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States. She holds an A.A. and B.A. in Humanities/Fine Arts from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Her thesis topics were: “The Moonlight and Magnolia Tradition in American Southern Literature” and “Wagner’s Influence on Hitler.” Ms. Cole’s Interdisciplinary Master of Science degree was earned at the University of Missouri in Historic Preservation. Her thesis was entitled “The History and Symbolism of Freemasonry As Revealed Through Its Architecture.” Ms. Cole has been researching and presenting programs since the fourth grade on a wide variety of scientific, art, and history-related subjects.
